01. Several details of the GSM antenna PCB design:

1. Antenna trace width, two-layer board recommended trace line width 30mil

2. Antenna wire shielding rules: Take two-layer board as an example. For the BOTTOM layer, the antenna routing requires that the lower layer needs to be laid, and no other wires should pass through or be parallel. In the TOP layer, both sides of the antenna wire require a large-area ground wire. Surrounded, the antenna trace is spaced apart from the ground by more than 30 mils.

3. Antenna wire shape rules are recommended to be short and straight. It is not recommended to change the layer by perforation. It is not recommended to use a right angle. It is not recommended that the antenna length exceed 3CM.

02. Bluetooth antenna design:

1. For the board-level Bluetooth patch antenna, the specific PCB trace requirements: the trace is directly from the pad pin, the trace is recommended in the same plane of the module (assuming TOP), the trace width is 15mil, the distance between the two sides is ground. 15mil, the requirements for the wiring part are short, and the BOTTOM surface needs to be referenced;

2. Recommended Bluetooth antenna: ceramic anterna, planar inverted F anterna, rod antenna (for 2.4G frequency). If space permits, try not to choose an antenna that is too small in size;

3. The position of the Bluetooth antenna is preferably at the corner. If the patch antenna is selected, it must have a clearance area of at least 2mm. The clearance area should not be away from the ground or other metal parts.

4. It is better to have a larger clearance area between the antenna and nearby objects; otherwise the matching adjustment will become difficult and the radiation mode will be severely distorted;

5. The bottom of the antenna should not touch the ground or ground plane;

6. The antenna should be placed away from metal objects, such as batteries, chips and other metal objects overlap.

7. Note that the internal cable (such as the battery power cord) is too close to the antenna;

8. A monopole antenna requires a reasonable ground plane for best performance.

9. There must be no metal casing or plastic with metal around or around the antenna.

10. Do not use very thin antenna feeders. The width limit must not be less than 0.1mm.
